Aetherplanes

The Aether is the gateway to numerous known and unknown planes of reality.  The following planes have been documented in various tomes or manuscripts in the past. Since the Fall, most texts have gone missing and have fallen out of public circulation.

Remnants of Elanehtar - The former home of the old gods of the land that is now haunted by their crazed servants and the ravers.  There are items, artifacts and relics a plenty to be found there, but only a few exarchs, adventurers or godlings have visited the plane to return with items of note.

Soulrest - The abode of the dead for this world that is attached to the Afterworld. It is now a land of unrest and torment. The realm formed long before the first Fall during a primordial congruence with the world. Because of that congruence, Soulrest is also the realm of the dead. It is currently divided among various warring factions. Amid the half-familiar expanses are littered unfamiliar ruins, a world built on reflections of lost empires that predate the Afterworld by thousands of years. And everywhere, things flutter, whisper, and creep at the edges of awareness, tempting the living and the dead alike to give up, lie down, and fade. Which might be preferable to what passes for judgment in Soulrest since the Fall.

N0dThe Realm of Dreams that is also psychically manifested as a large moon that created the Nightlands. Nod is littered with leftover nightmares from a thousand million
dreamers. Many psychic entities of malign power come to heel at the command of the King of Nod, but not all. Dreamers who are physically pulled to Nod may become trapped there, and never wake.

AetherThe Aether is a mystical realm where Elanehtar once resided, and where
Soulrest still remains. Through the Aether, an intangible realm of conception, even more distant realms can be reached. But remnants of Elanehtar, including seraphs, still drift within the Aether. Sometimes they fall into the Afterworld like shooting stars. The Aether is the interstitial space that separates the Afterworld from other realms and dimensions.

Accessing it to travel as one wills is extraordinarily difficult. Even bibliomancers, with all their spells, must wait until the moon called Door is in the sky, when spells allowing access to the Aether work best. During the dark of the moon of Door, the barriers thin the most, and powerful entities of other realms sometimes find their way to the Afterworld.

The Nexus - The portal to various planes beyond the ones linked to the Afterworld. Beyond these doorways are worlds that rarely touch upon the Afterworld. The old gods and goddesses "locked" the doors of the nexus thus keeping their collection of planes separated from the other planes.
Concord Emporium is a tavern & merchant shop open to anyone with enough power or money, fighting is forbidden.

The Bottomless Pit of Infernas - Home of countless devils, they have only recently discovered the Afterworld and may have been instrumental in the fall of Elanehtar. While still having a difficulty in establishing a foothold in the Afterworld, they have established small portal islands within the Eye of Elanehtar. While the fall of Elanehtar has opened the Afterworld to the devils, their home plane of Infernas has been invaded by other foul creature called demons.

Vaewar the Pale Shore With the fall of Elanethar new planes of the undead have appeared. While the dead of the Afterworld do not go to these nether worlds, they occasionally send visitors to the Afterworld. Some of the "Lords" have an interest in gaining  foothold in Soulrest if given an opportunity.

Elemental Planes  Locked away for countless eons, the collapse of Elanehtar now affords various elemental creatures the freedom to visit the Afterworld. Some are curious, some are are violent, and many just return to their homes planes as soon as possible.

Daenucyre the Wildlands A plane of countless magical beasts and creatures. It is thought that some of the various creatures driven from the world and Elanehtar have found residency here.  It has been discovered that the Wildlands are in fact a full plane unto themselves called Midgard with their own potentent beings.
